Program Description

Each week the teacher chooses appropriate activities based on each child development report.  Whenever occasion permits teacher do the specific activities with children.  Infants daily activity usually includes Listening to music and songs, tummy time, pulling and pushing, going outdoor weather permitting. Our Activity Centers are changed during the year to keep their attraction for children, but usually include Library, House keeping, Hand tools, Stuff animals, Blocks, Manipulatives and Riding Toys. Teacher let the children initiate the activities, this help the children  better develop the sense of thrust, autonomy and innovation. Whenever safety permits, children of different age are allowed to interact with each other. This helps development of both toddlers and older children, as guides and followers.

Food Guidelines

For infants all food will be provided by parents. For other children lunch will be provided by parents, but breakfast and snack is provided by NCCC. The snacks are always healthy foods and frequently include fresh fruit or vegetable. Please pay attention to include all food allergies of the child on Health papers.

Outdoor Play

NCCC uses the community park across the street. This provides the opportunity for children to use fresh air and exercise their gross and fine motor skills. Teachers use this time to make children more familiar with nature and environment.

No Shoe Policy

NCCC has a No Shoe policy, and no one is allowed to go into center with outside shoes.

Parent Involvement

NCCC sees its work as a partnership with parents with goal of service to children and their families. Recent research has shown the value of early care for children development through out their life. So we understand that we should provide more than ordinary care for our children. This is possible only  through continued education and training for staff and active involvement of our parents. Due to our low capacity and suitable staff to child ratio we have enough opportunity to take care of all developmental needs of our children, be it Physical, Cognitive, Social or Emotional. We have an open center policy, it means our parents can come in anytime they like to be with their children and our group. We have several occasion of social gathering with our parents throughout the year, that is very good for our children's social modeling and also for better communication between parents and staff.Respect for cultural diversity is one of cornerstone of our center that during past several years has taken care of children from around the world. And we have always respect our parents ideas and concerns.
